It's safe to say that nothing has really wowed me this awards season - I know I am not alone in that - I feel like the looks are all over the place and most of the top nominees have not been dressing that great. But anyway - here are my picks for best dressed for the Oscars & various after parties.

I am not sure why she was there but Maria Menudos looked gorgeous in Maria Lucia Hohan - I love simple gowns like these that are feminine, pretty and figure flattering! Love the color too!

Protein Scramble Recipe!!

Hello! I wanted to share one of my favorite recipes - this is a very healthy but filling and yummy meal to make! It is fast to make and you can honestly add any types of vegetables you want!



Ingredients that you need:
Lean Ground Turkey
Eggwhites
Onions
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pepper to taste

Vegetables I add:
Green or Red peppers
Avocado
Mushrooms


1) The first thing you want to do is chop up some onion - this will really flavor the entire meal and saute it extra virgin olive oil over medium heat (make sure the onion does not burn)

2) When the onion is golden, you can add the ground turkey

3) I wait for about 5 minutes before I start adding veggies - You can turn up the heat to medium high while the turkey cooks

4) Add any veggies you want - I add green pepper and mushrooms usually - yum!

5) Wait until your veggies are cooked and your turkey is golden brown and you can lower the heat to medium-low. Then you can add the egg whites - this cooks almost immediately so take off heat once it is ready

6) Serve on plate and I like to add fresh avocado! YUMMMMY! I also add some sirracha sauce to taste!

Hello all! Happy Monday yet again! This year is going by incredibly fast! I had a great weekend and I hope you all did too! The gala was Friday night and I had such an amazing time!

I got my makeup done at Mac and it was literally the makeup work anyone has ever done on me! Of course I had to pick up some new goodies :)

My Week + Weekend Pics!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of posting this week- Work has been insane plus I came down with a horrible sinus infection on Wednesday night - seriously thank GOD for antibiotics because I am a new person today! I have a gala tonight- I am excited to get all dressed up! I hope you all had a great valentines day!

Last Friday - my mom and I had some wine at the Dean & Deluca wine bar and then went to go watch The Woman in Black - If you love scary movies - you need to go see this! It was really scary and a very well made movie! And Daniel Radcliffe did such a good job!


Saturday - my mom and I went dress shopping for our gala - we both lucked out! Stay tuned for those pics next week or if you follow me on twitter - I will be posting some tonight! :)

NOW FOR THE FUNNY. I understand if some of you no longer wish to associate with me anymore. I promise I was not under the influence of ANYTHING (maybe just an iced americano) when I went to the DMV a couple of weeks ago, but the rude lady snapped what is quite possibly the worst picture of me EVER taken. And its plastered on my ID.

1) The reason I did not smile is because the stupid woman did not warn me she was taking the pic
2) She did not show me what it looked like after
3) I know it looks like a mugshot of a DUI conviction
4) I do not know why it looks like I have a lazy eye
5) Should I get it retaken??

My Mom: (laughed for 10 minutes) "Please go retake it!"
My sister Natalie: "BAHAHAHAHAHA I didn't think I was going to laugh all day but I was wrong. And why is there a black blob under it" - she then preceeded to make it her phone background (bitch. lol)
My sister Stephanie: "OMG Why are you not smiling? It looks like a mugshot, and why is your eye retarded"
My BFF mon: "You look so cute you look like Nicole Richie in her mugshot!"
My friend Erin: "You look like you are looking at a giant and like you are high"
My friend Heather: "Mugshot central! Why did not smile? Did you drink before your test to calm your nerves?"

however, someone really sweet to me said that I looked good :) LOL & I proceeded to laugh in his face. NOPE!

Brand I LOVE - Parker

If you know me, you know I love brand that carry beautiful feminine pieces that are also classic and that are good quality - number one reason I love good old Rebecca Taylor. Why does shopping make me so happy?

Ladies, I think (well I know actually) that I have a problem. Why do I love to shop so freaking much? Why does it make me so happy?? Please tell me I am not the only crazy one!

Holy hell, it's February?

Hi loves. I honestly cannot believe it is February already!!! How are the resolutions doing? I gotta admit I have gotten off track, but I am back on now. I find it so hard to keep up with my healthy food and workouts when I am out of town - I HAVE to get better about that.



Anyways - I have mentioned that I have started practicing hot yoga and power hot yoga - it is absolutely AMAZING. I cannot describe the feeling after an amazing yoga class, it is easily my favorite workout ever. Hot yoga is in 105 degrees and I literally sweat so much, my hair drips after class. The studio I go to (amazing) also offers power yoga in 95 degrees - although not as hot, I feel like I get a better work out in these classes because your heart rate goes up SO much and you really do get cardio in. You release so many toxins and it personally gives me so much energy. I can already see a difference toning/leaning wise and I cannot wait to see more results!

Anyways, yesterday after work and after my power yoga class, I went home and finally set up my new jewelry armoire - I will film a video over the weekend showing the armoire and my jewelry organization as well :)
