Well, it's Monday again! Like I mentioned in my previous post - I went home with my sister for a funeral of a close family friend. The funeral itself was extremely sad. I think we each used up 10 tissues. It was truly such a shocking death and we will never be able to understand why and that is what is frustrating about the mystery of death. We just have to have faith that there is something beyond this terrestrial life, which I do have, and I know that God needed Mr. Dowd for a reason and that he is in Heaven watching over his family. I am so glad we were able to go and pay our respect to him and to his amazing family. May he rest in peace!
Our front door neighbors ended up throwing a party in celebration of his life after the funeral and wake and it was so great to be able to see everyone. We ended up at Luciano's at 10:30 pm where I may or may have not sang taylor swift's our song at our table with the microphone. LOL!
Friday night, my sister and I had dinner at Nolen's Kitchen in Myers Park - I love this place, they have a really nice outdoor patio and great Mediterranean food. I got the spinach salad with seared scallops - so delicious!
Saturday morning we left Charotte around 8 am to drive to Atlanta - the funeral was at 12:30 and we made it just in time.
I apologize for the blotchy faces but we had been crying a lot!
Late night dinners & dancing at our restaurant on Saturday night
