Weekend Re-Cap!

Happy Monday everyone! I had a pretty good weekend! My sister's boyfriend is visiting from out of town and he made my family the BEST dinner on Friday night! Saturday - Charlotte got SNOW - it was crazy. And yesterday was LAZY. I had a horrid headache ALL day!

Friday afternoon at work - my sister and I being silly!

Saturday, I went to lunch with my sister and her bf and it started snowing while we were eating! 

That didn't stop us from going out on Saturday night though! 

We had such a great time, but I paid for it all day yesterday! I need to learn my lesson on not mixing drinks anymore. Ah! Yesterday - I watched like 12 episodes of Ghost Whisperer - I know how productive of me! LOL! Have a great week everyone!

Another week bites the dust! February has been FLYING by! That always happens when things at work start to pick up. I am also ready for daylight savings to kick in. I am over pitch black at 6:15 PM.

So let us all celebrate the weekend!!! Last weekend went by so fast, so I am going to make the best of it this weekend!

A peek into my week...

My mom is always so nice to me on vday because guess what? I have never ever ever EVER had a valentine! I know what you are thinking it's insane - I am the most amazing person on the planet how could this be true?!?!? ;-) But it is. Nonetheless. #ohwell - she got me the cutest Kate Spade bangle :) So sweet of her!

Even my sister's boyfriend Chris felt bad for me (just kidding - it was literally SO sweet of him to get my flowers too - He's a keeper Natalie!!!) ((he also got me peanut butter chocolates from Ohio!))

What does a single gal do on V-day? Go to the gym of course. I joined a new gym this past week and I am OBSESSED! My sister and I are going to start working out with a trainer next week - I am so excited! I have the stairmaster back in my life & it is a great feeling. Also - they have these awesome bikes that have custom paths for you to take. They are so entertaining & a great workout! 

and what does that said single gal deserve after 40 min on the stairmaster (I probably completely reversed my workout but who the hell cares on Valentine's day!?) - considering I treat sirracha as a side dish for virtually anything I eat - I had to get these & they did not disappoint!!

My mom and I made dinner and drank Pinot noir = perfection in my book! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)

Work has been super crazy this week - but I wanted to pop in and say Happy Valentine's Day to you all! Whether you are single or taken - take this day as a celebration to tell everyone you love how much you care about them.

Some days, I feel like I have nothing to blog about and other days - I am inundated with ideas and stuff to post! TODAY is one of those days.

If you know Natalie, you know this is a win in my book, I don't know how I convinced her, but I secretly think she loved it. Also, we have another special guest in our video too! I also feel like I look extremely obese and huge from this camera angle and my hair looks like a bob. Oh well. I will never wear my hair curly like that on camera ever again! So, I am sure I am not the only one who wasn't blown away by any of the Grammy fashion choices on Sunday. My favorite was T. Swift. Girl loves herself some J. Mendel - it always looks fab on her. T swift makes me want to be an A cup and rock low cut dresses like this. I would be arrested if I tried to wear a dress this low cut. T Swift looks classic and gorgeous. I HATE her hair. I am SO over her stupid bangs & I miss it when she used to wear her hair in glamorous curls. 

Rhi Rhi looked FIERCE in her Alaia gown - she looked so pretty and I loved her hair! I always think girls look so much better and prettier with long hair! 

And everyone else looked like trash. literally. Don't mean to hate but god people who usually dress great TOTALLY disappointed me. I really hope the Oscars fashion is fab - bc awards fashion has been so BLAH this year!

HUGE week/weekend Update!

So my official work travel season has started - that means less time to blog/vlog! However, I am trying to plan ahead and post and dedicate time to blogging more at night. I was in Miami from Wednesday to Friday of last week for work and this weekend went by in the blink of an eye!! I hate short weekends but this week seems pretty chill so far.

Miami Bound travel outfit & gear! I received LV luggage as my 18th birthday present and they look as great as they did 7 years ago! I always travel comfy but CUTE. No sweats or tennis shoes for me at the airport - you never know who you will meet! I wore Old Navy compression leggings (which ROCK!), a target sweater (recent), and my Tory Burch tan flats. You know I love my heels, but even I think it is ridiculous when I see women running around the airport in heels - ain't nobody got time for that + you look like a dumb ass.  

So, I am deeply in love with Miami! Whenever I go for work, we stay in Coral Gables which is a little bit outside of South Beach, but this time we had a meeting there so we were able to explore Lincoln Rd a little! GORGEOUS! I wanted to stay and shop and live there! LOL! Miami is fabulous & I want to go back ASAP and have a girls trip there! 

I came home late on Friday night & Saturday we had a full day of hair & makeup for a gala that night.

We had such a great time & we didn't end up sleeping till almost 4! Yesterday was pretty relaxing, we had some family friends over for dinner & watched the grammy's a little - well I fell asleep in the middle of it - is it just me or were they really 6 hours long? TOO long.

Weekend Update!

I feel like this past January was the longest month I have ever encountered. Was it just me or was the month 6 weeks long? Regardless, I think 2013 has been off to a great start with the exception of a few ups and downs. This past week, my grandmother had to undergo surgery, but thankfully everything turned out perfectly and she is expected a full recovery. She had surgery on Thursday night and my sister Natalie and I drove from Charlotte to go visit her. I am so glad we were able to go, I think it definitely brightened her day to see us. I know I am blessed to have all four living healthy grandparents - it is just so scary to see your grandparents suffer and see how worried my parents were too! This weekend was pretty uneventful, but it was still great for the 5 of us to be together. I love my family more than anything. 

I had planned on filming my January Beauty Favorites this weekend but obviously didn't have time. I am planing on filming that tonight so expect that soon! I have discovered so many great products this month! 

I have been LOVING my Sedu hair dryer I got a couple of weeks ago! I have not used hot tools on my hair ever since I got it, been taking my daily biotin and using mane n'tane. I really hope this is effective in growing my hair! I have been waiting till my hair air dries about 85% and then blow drying with a ceramic round brush

I am off to Miami in a couple of days for my first work trip of the year! We have been working on a new corporate video for over 3 months with a video producer and I finally recorded the voice over last Thursday! I am so excited to see the final product! Starbucks was of course needed.
