The Lovely Lea Michele

I have been obsessed with Lea Michele ever since 2007 when she starred in the musical Spring Awakening on Broadway. Me and my best friend Jimmy were obsessed with the musical and we were lucky enough to see it three times (one time actually sitting on stage!). Imagine our surprise when our favorite Broadway star, Lea, started filming a TV show... which turned out to be Glee. I am so happy for her and I am definitely a huge fan. She is incredibly talented. Hearing her sing live in Spring Awakening was magical.. she has such a crisp and perfect voice, and she is a great actress too. I think great things will come her way. She also has amazing style! I would totally wear the dresses she does if my boobs happened to be smaller lol. I only wish I had her talent. Here are some pics to share:

Happy Thursday Everyone! :)

A typical me pose!

Hey everyone! Hope everyone has been having a fabulous week. I had a wonderful weekend with my friends! Monica came to visit me and we had a blast. I have always wanted to take her to Athens, GA where UGA is and I finally got to take her! Athens is notorious for being crazy.. definitely one of my favorite places to go and party. What scares me is that I feel so much older than everyone there now.. I don't want to ever be past the "Athens" stage! lol. Anyways, we got to see my friends Jake and Hammy! We started off with some drinks at Outback (the delicious Wallabie-Damned) and ending up drinking bud lights (as usual). Here are some pics from Athens...

me and Jake.. lovely trash-can in the back.. it clashes with our outfits :(
I wore a vintage top (mon's actually), with a free people black tube skirt and report signature black booties
isn't Jake so hot? when we met Kim Zolciak she was all over him!

me and moni! Mon is wearing an erin wasson velvet dress, vintage beaded jacket, and chloe sevigny for opening ceremony shoes (they are amazing!)

this time Jake was unfortunately, not Kim Zolciak

Saturday was spent doing nothing. Hammy came back to ATL with us and we had a quick dinner at Luciano's before meeting up with my friend Stacy at the buckhead bar East Andrews.

fun night!

Stacy's friend Steve drove my car back to Stacy's house where we were all staying and somehow in this process my poor friend Stacy broke her hand!! We think but don't really remember that she slammed her hand on my door! She ended up getting x-rays done the next morning and finding out that it was indeed broken! :(

Apart from Stacy's news, me and Mon did some light shopping at Lenox and Phipps.. didn't really find that much except this adorable free people velvet tube skirt on major sale

After shopping, me and Mon had another dinner at Lucanio's with Stacy and her broken hand and my cousin and her friend. After we watched It Takes Two at my house drinking some wine. On Monday, I took my friend Sergio out for his birthday to Repast in Atlanta.. WOW! It was amazing. The food was out of this world. So different yet so yummy!

me and sergio! with our dessert sampler - so good! the best was the Olive Oil Cake

I really want to take my parents to that restaurant I know they would love it. So on Tuesday I decided to go to the doctors because I had been feeling sick for too long and was starting to get very irritated eyes. Turns out I have pink eye and a sinus and ear infection, as well as bad allergies. I am stuck taking 5 prescriptions right now. But life must go on. I have my GMAT class every tuesday and thursday from 7-10 pm. It takes a lot of energy to go to work the whole day then drive to Atl and go to class but it must be done.

I have good news though. I have been presented with an exciting job opportunity in Mexico. Do not want to jinx it but I would appreciate good and positive thoughts my way. I will keep y'all updated. I am going to Mexico City next Friday and will be there until the following Wednesday.. wish me luck!

This weekend will be a relaxing one for me. I am my cousin Karen's confirmation sponsor on Saturday and that is the only thing I have to do all weekend. Really need to put my christmas tree away (yes.. I know) and clean clean clean my room - it's a mess! Need to take more pictures for e-bay as well.

Rave for Too Faced Cosmetics

When I was in high school (back in 2001-2005), I was obsessed with makeup. I would spend all my allowance and baby sitting money on eyeshadows and lipgloss. My favorite brands used to be Urban Decay, Hard Candy (remember them?), Stila (still use some), and Too Faced! There was a point where I matched my eyeshadow color to my shirt... Once I outgrew that phase, I began to think that all of these brands were only for young teens so I started using Chanel, Lancome, MAC, Laura Mercier, Nars, etc. Subconsciously, I tend to snub the brands from my teenage years whenever I go to Sephora, but recently I walked into Sephora looking for a new foundation. I had been using the Mac studio fix or the Makeup Forever liquid foundation but neither was pleasing me. By my surprise, I was recommended the Magic Wand Illuminating Foundation by Too Faced. I have never loved a foundation more! It's perfect. It gives the perfect coverage without being too thick or creamy, yet it is still moisturizing. When I want more coverage, I just use a little more. I just top it off with a little bit of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder and I am all set for the day.

you can buy the foundation here

Another amazing Too Faced product is the Starry-Eyed Liquid Eyeliner. Works great to add a little sparkle to your eyes and I even use it over my entire eyeshadow to really add some drama. I only like the dark gold and black glitter colors (Stalkerazzi and Ooh & Aah respectively) - other colors are a bit too much for me

Happy Humpday Everyone! I have a great weekend plan.. Monica is coming to Atlanta and we have some exciting things to do!

It's 2010!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! :)

I hope everyone had a fabulous and wonderful new years! My new years was great - spent in Charlotte, NC with my wonderful friends Monica, Caitlin, and Sonia! Unfortunately, the day before new years I did something terrible! I went to dinner with my dad and Mon and had around three glasses of red wine - after dinner we went home and I still felt congested and sick so stupid me decided to take Nyquil followed by Theraflu.. needless to say - that was not a good idea and I ended up getting incredibly sick :( I was extremely nauseous and had a stomach ache all of new years eve and the following days - it really sucked but Pepto and Alka-Seltzer helped a lot and I was still able to enjoy Charlotte with my friends. We partied at the Epicentre and in Downtown Charlotte, ate at some good restaurants, played guitar, and shopped a little as well. I'm kind of happy to be back to reality.. really need to clean out my closet and start working out every day again - I have been so lazy during the Holidays! Anyways - as always - here are some pictures to share.
