Weekend Pictures

Happy Monday LOVES! Hope you all had a fabulous and restful weekend. Mine was pretty good - Friday I was feeling under the weather the whole day but ended up going out with some of my coworkers to a bar called Phoenix in downtown, it was really fun! Saturday was a shopping day for me - got some great BCBGeneration clothes on sale and stocked up on some fun beauty items from Target and Sephora - I filmed a haul video that will be going up shortly!!

Saturday night, I picked up my mom from the airport and we went out to dinner and just had a chill night. Sunday, we just had lunch, went to church, then I worked out at night and watched the RHONJ reunion - can you say DRAMA!? RHONJ has been my favorite series for three years now, love the ladies - cannot believe how much Teresa has changed and how differently Bravo portrays her now - Idk about you but I am definitely team Caroline (can't believe she doesn't talk to Dina now!? how insane is that?!) anyways...

Obsessed with the sephora by OPI nail polish I picked up called "chesnuts about you" - gorgeous rose gold color


I am a salad freak- absolutely love them, great way to get your veggies and protein in one.. just be careful about the dressings! Always order olive oil & vinegar or balsamic vinagrette and NEVER creamy or Cesar dressings (soooo many calories!)

I usually always stick to my trader joes hummus but I picked this one up the other day and am IN LOVE


Another favorite of mine slash obsession: PINKBERRY! why is it a 5 min drive from my house oh and in the same shopping center as my trainer? LOL in my defense - this was my dinner that night AND it was after a cardio sesh.. (haha anything to make me feel better)


My parents were in Vegas last week and while they were eating at L'Atelier - Joel Robuchon was there! My parents were so excited (seeing as though we have restaurants too) and they got a pic! SO JEALOUS!!!

These booties are probably my favorite purchase of the season so far... they are work appropriate and SOOO comfortable

What to Buy Now: Feminine Blouses

*Announcement* - for some unknown reason, my twitter account was randomly suspended, so I will let you know when it's back up! has anyone had this happen to you?

I don't know about where you are, but here in NC - Fall is in full bloom. Stash away your tank tops and denim shorts (well unless u want to pair them with tights and booties) and bring out the riding boots, comfy sweaters and skinny jeans! There is something about fall that just instantly makes me happy - nonfat pumpkin spiced lattes, over the knee boots, chunky infinity scarves, leaves candle from bath and body works, cardigans, and MORE!

A trend that I am loving this season is: the feminine blouse. You can literally wear this with EVERYTHING. Blouses are great because you can transition them from work to night or weekend with just some easy transitions. Pair a blouse with a pencil skirt or black pants for work, for a more casual look - pair with skinny jeans, a cardigan and boots or cutoff denim shorts, tights and booties! For a night-time look, you can wear any blouse with leather shorts and heels, with a pair of leather leggings, or tucked into a bandage skirt.

You can find these blouses anywhere but I have highlighted my favorites down below.

It is by Bellatrix and retails for $78 - I bought it in the white, but it also comes in the color "paprika"


This maroon top is by patterson $98 (one of my favorite brands) - this deep red color is perfect for fall


This next top is BCBGMAXAZRIA $168 brings in the animal print trend of the fall as well - imagine how great this would look with black skinny pants and sky high heels


This next top is by DVF $298 is definitely on the splurge side, but this top really can take you from season to season and the shape and fit is great.


This Boyod blouse may be my favorite - I have been admiring it since I first saw it in August but at $205, it is definitely a splurge to think about because of the sequined detailing - this top would be great for the holidays (christmas and new years) so I am thinking it may be worth the splurge - what are your thoughts?

Weekend Pics + Recent Buys

Hello Lovelies! Hope you all had an amazing weekend! Mine was wonderful and relaxing, since my parents were in town this weekend, we just had fun hanging out together and attending some events. My dad played in a charity gold tournament this weekend with one of his best friends so we attended the night events on Friday and Saturday night. Friday night was a pig roast and Saturday night was a Vegas themed cocktail party - unlimited dirty martinis anyone? I am so lucky to have such fun parents that I love to spend time with, couldn't imagine it otherwise.

picked up some books over the weekend: the hunger games, the white queen, and the red queen
I have started the white queen and it is sooooo good! the author is the author of the other boylen girl so if you liked that, you will probably like this book!


On Saturday, I finally got my hair trimmed! I had not gotten a cut since FEBRUARY so you can imagine how horrid my split ends were, it's a little shorter than what I am comfortable with but it feels SOO healthy now!

I also found a GREAT pair of jeggings - something that I have been wanting ever since my Citizen Avedon skinnies ripped to shreds - these banana republic jeggings fit AMAZING and they are so comfortable. Def worth a try - and at $90, they are a great quality option.


Sunday was a chill day - mom and I went to Cowfish, my new favorite restaurant here in Charlotte. It is a mix of sushi and burgers - they have GREAT food. I had an avocado-tunatini and then a make your own roll with brown rice, soy paper and salmon :)
oh and a blue moon!
