I really CANNOT believe that it is 2012! I know everyone always says that after every new year, but 2011 was such a FAST year! Even though my life went through many changes the past year (moved from California to Charlotte and started a new job in a new city) - 2011 literally flew by!
First things first - RESOLUTIONS. dun dun dun... You either love them or you hate them there is no in between with them. Writing these out on my blog will help me accomplish them. (or so I hope!)
1) HEALTHY LIVING
YEP. probably everyone's number 1 resolution, and I am the same. I have definitely been slacking on my diet and workout regimen (that I had so strictly mastered in California due to my AMAZING trainer) ever since I moved home. I blame it on transition, winter, traveling, my parents - but NO. there are NOOO excuses!!!! NONE - for me - healthy living is about two things - DIET AND EXERCISE - not just one :)
a) DIET - follow my old trainers "diet" - if anyone is interested in it, let me know (it works extremely well) - I plan on being extremely strict with the diet for at least one month and in February I can start implementing cheat days on the weekends)
b)EXERCISE - Stepping up my cardio game - at least 3 times per week, Yoga/Hot Yoga 1 or 2 times per week, weight training 2 times per week.
Let me know if you would like to see more healthy living recipes, ideas, etc!! :)
2) STEP UP ORGANIZATION GAME
I am already fairly organized (esp when it comes to my clothes and makeup) but I am still getting used to having a smaller closet/room than usual so sometimes, shit piles up! ha! I am going to make it a necessity to pick up my clothes and shoes every day and also do laundry once per week - I have been waiting like three weeks sometimes and there is nothing worse than folding 35 shirts, 13 pants, 10 sports bras, 28 hanky pankies, and like 89 pairs of mismatched socks at the same time.
3) EYE CARE AND TEETH CARE
FORCE myself to take my contacts out every single night and floss every single night as well!
4) SAVE MONEY! SPEND LESS!!
MAJOR resolution, I really need to be saving money at this point in my life, I don't pay rent - so I have NOOOOOO excuses. I am on a shopping ban all of January (NO CLOTHES, MAKEUP, SHOES, etc) and I may extend it to February if I can hold off enough :) I literally have more clothes and shoes that my closet can handle!
5) WORK ON MY BLOG MORE
I really would love to grow my blog this year. I would like to develop blogging into more than just a hobby - I am not good with graphic design or anything like that so I am thinking of paying someone to design my blog? Is that weird? Does that even exist? LOL. If anyone has any tips on getting your blog more noticed, etc. I would really appreciate your input!!
I think 5 is a solid number of resolutions to have. I have NYE pictures that I want to share but I haven't uploaded my camera yet so in the meantime, here is an iPhone pic I had of my outfit :)
