Happy Humpday everyone! I did a little bit of shopping this past weekend... as per usual! Ulta was having 20% off the entire purchase, so I stocked up on some necessities and goodies with the sale. I also went to Nordstrom Rack and hit the jackpot with new Paige jeans on major sale & some pretty tops for work/life! Who doesn't love a bargain? I love finding good quality pieces on sale! Nordstrom Rack is one of my favorite places to find designer items for less. As always, let me know if you would like a review on any of the items that I picked up!

Weekend Recap: Blo Dry Bar, new video, & lots of studying!

Happy Monday loves! TOTALLY lame weekend for me - I dedicated almost the entire weekend to grad school applications and studying! It is hard to get into study mode, but I was able to do it! Friday night, my sister and I worked out with our trainer and I called it an early night (after a little trip to Ulta!). Saturday, I was able to try the new Blo Blow Dry Bar in Charlotte! I loved it! If you know me, you know that blowouts are my guilty pleasure - thank you so much to the lovely girls at Blo for the great experience - I will definitely be back! 

I got the "Red Carpet" from the hair menu - basic blowout with lots of volume! My stylist was S.H. & she was awesome!

I also uploaded a new video - it is a bathroom tour + what is in my shower? I know it seems like an odd type of video, but it is a highly requested video on my YouTube channel :) 

Saturday night & basically all day yesterday were spent studying and writing - maybe not that fun, but I definitely feel accomplished! I am heading to Miami on Friday for a girls weekend with my sister. We are going to see her favorite DJ Nervo on Saturday, but if you guys have any recommendations, please let me know! I have never been to Miami for fun - just work! I hope you all have a wonderful week! )

Review: Tom Ford Cognac Sable Eyeshadow Quad & Ultra Shine Lip Gloss

I blame my Tom Ford beauty purchases on the biggest enabler ever - my best friend Mon! Ever since she started her obsession, I couldn't wait to try out some of the products. When I was in Chicago last week, I popped into Neiman Marcus to "look" at the Tom Ford beauty line. 2 hours later and a full face makeup application, I was sold. I wanted to buy everything! Everything that the makeup artist used on my face was amazing. I am slowly going to be adding more of the line into my collection - the next things I am eying are the illuminating highlighting pen and the lip color in casablanca!

 Is it necessary to spend 80 dollars on an eyeshadow quad? Probably not.. but in our eyes - IT IS! :) I have never worked with such beautiful, pigmented and blend-able eye-shadows. Worth every penny for me, and I know I am going to use it for a long time! I decided to go with the Cognac Sable quad because I wanted to get one I could wear every day, but also one that I had a few standout shades. I am very happy with my purchase. I also picked up the gorgeous ultra shine lipgloss in Peach Absolute. AMAZING as well! I really want to get a red shade too.

Weekend Re-cap!

Happy Monday loves! I had totally forgotten what a REAL weekend felt like. Sleep - I LOVE YOU AND YOU FEEL SO GOOD! I had not had a "free" weekend in Charlotte in probably two months. It's amazing what sleep and not traveling can do for the soul! Friday night was chill and I just cooked dinner with my parents and had family time - always the best. Saturday, I met up with one of my good friends Jake who was in town from Atlanta for a wedding. I also did several loads of laundry, cleaned my entire room and bathroom, and filmed some videos. I ended the night with dinner at Firebirds with my family yet again! Sunday, I met up with the lovely Alexa for coffee and waffles (perfect combo - believe me)! I had not seen her in such a long time and it was so great to catch up! Love that girl! After brunch, I helped my mom pick out some outfits for her upcoming trip and then just relaxed the rest of the night = PERFECT WEEKEND.

Re-cap: Chicago Weekend and Work Trip!

Hello loves! I wanted to share a little recap of my Chicago trip. I was there from last Friday, and I got in last night. I was there over the weekend to support one of my best friend's Caitlin on her first full marathon! She was amazing and is so strong! I am so proud of her for this huge accomplishment - seriously such an inspiration!

I was able to catch up with friends I don't get to see that often. It was great to see my sorority sister, Bev, and meet Caitlin's other friend Meghan who I had never met before! I had a blast with them over the weekend. I also got to see my good friends from Atlanta Chris and Meghan who live in Chicago!

So confession.. I am IN LOVE with Chicago. Not only does it have amazing shopping and restaurants, but the people are so nice. I won't even talk about the amount of HOT TALL men walking around the city. We were blessed with great weather and it was even warm some of the days! Of course, you know I always do some shopping damage and I did take the plunge on these babies from Zara. I will say it time after time, but Zara is one of my favorite stores and I always hit it up every time I am in a city that has one. 

I also did something VERY bad. I did a makeup trial at Neiman Marcus with Tom Ford makeup. It was beyond amazing. No wonder his products cost what they do! I ordered the Cognac Sable eyeshadow quad (on it's way to me right now) & I bought this GORGEOUS lip gloss. Honestly - the best lipgloss I have ever used! It is so creamy and glossy, but not sticky! FOOD - Amazing! My friend Chris took me to Japonais - it was some of the best Asian food I have ever had. My favorite was this dish - NY strip cooked on a rock! Definitely recommend if you are ever in Chicago!

I had a great time visiting, and had some good work meetings as well. Definitely glad to be home! Expect some videos this weekend! :)
