Boston Re-Cap & Haul Video!

Isn't it awesome that it is Wednesday already? I flew into Boston late on Friday night and had an amazing weekend! As I have said before, I went to college there, spent 4 amazing years there, AND my best friend Jimmy still lives there (as well as some other of my good friends!!). I always re-fall in love with Boston every time I go back - it is such a beautiful amazing city and I miss it SO much!

Saturday, Jimmy and I headed to brunch in Harvard Square at this place called Tory Row - omg - BEST chopped salad ever - and we got some champagne - OBV.


Then - we headed into the city to a bar at the harbor - it's called the landing and they have HUGE fishbowls you can drink - obviously we had to get one

Saturday night was spent at the Liberty Hotel Bar - Clink





Sunday was a day of rest - I was struggling for the better half of the day but then we ended up going out again - I will spare you the pictures - they were not a pretty sight on my end. 

Monday - I got to see my lovely little Jess! I had not seen her in almost three years - so crazy! We had brunch at my favorite restaurant in Boston - Abe & Louie's!

It was such a great weekend/little vacation! Cannot wait to go back. 

I also did some shopping (boston has the BEST Zara!) - planning on filming a haul (duh) sometime this week - but here is my latest haul video that was posted over the weekend! It's an ulta, benefit, nordstrom & free people haul!

Makeup Collection & Storage!

Well - it's September and that is just freaking CRAZY to me. Where the hell did this year go?? I will have a weekend update up later with my pictures from my amazing labor day weekend trip to Boston! 2 BIG BLOG UPDATES!

It is FINALLY Thurday! YAYYYY! Do you guys notice anything different? 

1) I am SO beyond happy with my new blog design! My lovely friend Shannon over at Page Twenty-Two was the mastermind behind it - I have always admired her blog and was thrilled when she said she was going to start designing blogs!

My Week So Far + Blog Update!

Happy Hump day everyone! For some reason - this week has been going by particularly slowwwwwww - I think I am just overly excited for my Boston weekend! I tweeted earlier today that I have a BIG blog change coming VERY soon so stay tuned! I also have a lot of videos planned to film today and tomorrow including an ulta, benefit, and nordstrom haul, my makeup organization, and my skincare routine! YAY! I have done quite a bit of shopping this week so stay tuned for my haul! Yesterday - I got my eyebrows done right after Emily Maynard from the bachelorette! I never watched the show but it was still kind of cool to see a "celeb" in little old Charlotte! BTW - it was my first time at the benefit brow bar & I am IN LOVE! The girl told me that Emily is going to start representing benefit cosmetics now - which is just a little random to me.

I have some really exciting things coming up for me career wise - I actually had to get business head shots done yesterday - thank god my friend Heather is a professional photographer! I also had to attend a fundraiser with my mom for one of our community leaders who was diagnosed with ALS early this year - so incredibly sad but it is so honorable that he is doing so much to beat and fight this horrible illness. 

So if you know me - you know that I am a total heels girl - I wear heels every single day to work and I prefer to wear wedges on the weekends as opposed to flats. However, this weekend I am going to be walking a lot in boston and wanted to get some comfortable cute shoes. I went into Nordstrom thinking I was going to get Toms - I really love the idea behind them & the fact that they give shoes to kids in Africa but oh my goodness - they looked HORRENDOUS on me. I wish I would have taken a picture - even the man helping me was like yea those aren't for you. LOL! I ended up getting these amazing rose gold sperrys! I have heard that you have to break them in so I hope they don't kill me too much!

Weekend Re-cap + New Hair!

Happy Monday everyone!! For some reason, I am in a really good mood this morning - maybe it is because I am heading to Boston on Friday for labor day weekend! If you do not already know, I went to college in Boston and lived there for 4 years so the city has a very special place in my heart! My best friend Jimmy lives there so we have a great weekend planned with whale watching, harpoon brewery, eating seafood by the harbor, getting sushi and brunch at our favorite spots, and shopping on newbury - I seriously cannot wait! :)

Thank you to everyone who gave their opinions - there is something about dark hair that just makes you feel more sexy hahaha! 

My sister's bf was in town all weekend and he is a chef in Palo Alto, CA so on Friday night, he made us an amazing dinner!

Saturday - I had my hair appointment and then did some shopping at Forever 21! My family and I went to dinner and then I went out with my sister, her bf and some of my friends. It was a really fun night! 

Sunday - we drove a little outside of charlotte to show Chris our lake house that we are building and we stopped at North Harbor Club for an early dinner - they had really good food and its directly on the lake - such a cute place! 

In other news - I finally got my HD camera to film videos on! I have been holding off filming a lot for a while because the quality of my videos was HORRENDOUS - but I filmed my first video on it over the weekend and I am in love with the quality - I have so many videos lined up to film! Friday Faves & My big DILEMA!

 TGIF everyone!! I am so happy it is the weekend - I think I am still on California time or something but I have been feeling so tired this week - which is not normal for me at all! Especially since I consume so much coffee - not even that is helping me! Anyways - I wanted to link up to the lovely blog The Bargain Blonde for Friday Faves! I also have a dilema that needs to be resolved by 12 noon tomorrow... KEEP READING!

2) my crazy sister/roomie - I am so happy we are living together again and working together - she is the best and always makes me laugh no matter what!

Now, onto my dilemma - MY HAIR. My roots are the worst they have ever been due to my crazy hectic traveling schedule lately and not being in town over the weekends to have a 3 hour hair appointment! Well - I am in the mood for a change - this is what my hair currently looks like (no instagram filters haha) - about 4 weeks ago so my roots are MUCH worse now but this is the color. 

I think I want to go brunette. Not chocolate brunette - but like a lighter brown brunette? I don't even know what I want - I have been highlighting my hair blonde ever since I was 17!

Recent Buys!

Is it just me or has this week has gone by incredibly fast? I guess that is a good thing! I wanted to share some recent purchases and let you guys know how I like them. I have been really good about my finances lately and shopping more "SMARTLY" - however - I have picked up some good items recently!

The first thing I am SO obsessed with is this rose gold bracelet from the Bauble Bar! I had originally seen it on Missglamorazzi's Youtube videos and thought it was gorgeous since it matches my rose gold MK watch perfectly but it was sold out for a while - I got an email saying it was back in stock like 2 weeks ago and ordered it right away - I am blown away by the quality of it in person - I am just so obsessed with rose gold and this is BEAUTIFUL! I highly recommend this bracelet to layer if you have a rose gold watch - it looks so pretty together!

So, I had never shopped at Soma Intimates before this weekend. Last week, I saw a commercial for this new bra called the sensuous sides bra and was intrigued. I am pretty loyal customer to VS - but to be 100% honest, these bubbies do NOT get enough support from VS bras - I am a 36DD and I have a really hard time finding bras there! Over the weekend - after trying on 5 different bras at VS and almost crying from frustration - I made my way over to Soma (which I thought was just a granny store) - and they actually have some really cute things! I am IN LOVE with their new bra!  It gives such great support and coverage without being uncomfortable. It also lifts and pushes you forward without adding any padding/size (which I NEVER want!). Definitely go and try it if you are larger chested and have a hard time finding bras!
