Weekend Update: Home

Happy Monday loves! I hope you all had a GREAT weekend! :) I am finally feeling A LOT better and am healthy again. My sister Natalie and I drove to Atlanta on Friday afternoon and we spent the weekend there. My grandparents from Mexico are visiting and I hadn't seen them in almost three years - I was so happy to see them. On Saturday, we had my littlest cousin Melinda's First Communion. It was really great to spend quality time with my family - always the best type of weekends. 

We drove back yesterday and just relaxed catching up on RHONJ! :) Is it just me or has this season been slightly boring? Hope you all have great weeks! :)

Where have I been? UPDATE!

Well well well, I have some explaining to do! I have been a BAD BAD BAD blogger, but I actually have some semi-excuses. Last week was crazy with taking on a different role at work and my sister's birthday, and this week I have been battling one of the worst stomach virus's I have ever had! I don't know exactly how or why I caught the virus, but it had me bed ridden for the better part of this week. Fortunately, I am feeling MUCH better (THANK GOD FOR DOCTORS) and hopefully I will be able to eat a real meal in the near future. I haven't eaten anything but crackers and some soup since Monday. At least it's kind of a diet. 

I am heading to Atlanta for a few days this weekend because my grandmother from Mexico is in town! I am SO excited to see her, I haven't seen her in three years!! I also have my little cousin's first communion tomorrow and I am so excited to see my mom's side of the family as well. I promise to be back to regular blogging/YouTube next week - in the meantime - I did finally upload an updated apartment tour (this was filmed last week, I just finally uploaded it last night)!

Weekend Re-Cap: Hair did and more moving!

Well, it is back to Monday everyone & it is time to re-cap the weekend! First things first...I got my hair done! Woo hoo! Taylor and Kyle are seriously the best (I have Alexa to thank for that) & they did an amazing job with my hair! :) 

Friday night, I literally left work and went straight to my bed because I was suffering from a horrendous pressure migraine. My plan was to just nap, but I woke up at 3 AM. I think I definitely needed to rest! Saturday was hair day, and after I ran some apartment errands and hit up Whole Foods (my fave) too! I got a much needed gel mani and pedicure at my favorite nail salon and then I went to dinner at our restaurant Luciano's with my mom and sister!

Sunday - I cleaned out more stuff from our condo and moved it into my apartment. I am still waiting on my dressers, so I am having a hard time organizing all my clothes! I also went to Harris Teeter and stocked up on more groceries and essentials. At night, I went to Pops in the Park at Symphony Park with some of my friends and called it a night! Weekends always go by too fast :( My apartment is progressing - stay tuned for an updated tour this week!! Have a wonderful week!

Friday!

To say this week has been exhausting is to say the least! Moving is tough guys. My entire body is sore, I haven't been sleeping enough, and to make matters worse, I haven't been to the gym in over a week and have been eating out constantly. I feel tired, gross and just READY for the move to be over to to start getting back to my regular routine! Add in my car battery dying while moving & you get the gist of my week so far! 

In more positive news... WE MOVED! My sister and I have spent 2 nights already in our new place and our apartment is coming together so nicely. I was happy when my mom (who is an interior designer) was blown away by everything we had chosen! I will MOST definitely be filming an updated apartment tour this weekend so stay tuned for that! I am planning lots of great organization videos like closet, bathroom, and an updated makeup collection/storage video! I plan on moving the rest of my stuff this weekend and organizing more since next week is my sister Natalie's birthday and we are going to have 4 girls staying with us plus a party on Saturday night! I am also getting my hair re-highlighted tomorrow! Yay! My roots are out of control and I am in desperate need of it.

Happy Wednesday Everyone! We are halfway done with the week and if all goes as planned today- I get my box springs for my new place and I may actually stay there tonight! WOO HOO! If you read my post last Friday, I attended a blogging event last week at Apricot Lane Boutique here in Charlotte! It was at Apricot Lane's brand new store at the Stonecrest Shopping Center. I had so much fun meeting other Charlotte bloggers and trying on fun outfits! You know me - anything to do with shopping and clothes is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY! The new store is SO cute and they had a variety of pieces that would fit any style - also - the prices are on point! Definitely check out an Apricot Lane if they are in your area - I can't wait to go back!

Weekend Shennanigans: Moving, Target, Filming and RHONJ!

Hi EVERYONE! The dreaded Monday morning is here & Charlotte is gloomy as hell! I know some people lost power overnight - what is up with this crazy weather? My weekend basically of consisted of several trips to Target and Homegoods and a lot of time spent organizing my new place! If everything works out, we will be staying there finally on Wednesday! Friday night - I went out to sushi with my sister and my friend Heather and literally just passed out after (LAME). 

If you watched my apartment tour video - you know that our dining room table was delivered without the bottom part, so on Saturday at freaking 8AM, I got them. I was up for the day and headed to Target (aka the DEVIL that stole all my money this weekend). I somehow managed to spend my life savings on cleaning supplies, toilet paper, a wireless router, towels, kitchen items, and other things that are absolutely necessary but SO annoying to buy! Also - I don't think I have ever been to Target before 11AM and damn there were some rowdy toddlers in there! 

I also headed to Marshall's since it was in the same shopping center and I found the CUTEST chair for my vanity! It is a gorgeous aqua blue and it is going to match my comforter! It was only $150 and I am so glad I got it!

My sister and I then went to Homegoods and we hit the jackpot! We found such cute things! Here are some of my favorite additions from the weekend

Sunday - I slept in and took it easy. I filmed a few videos (May favorites will be up today!). I headed over to Target AGAIN and got more things. I picked up dinner at Whole Foods (so yummy) and watched the season premiere of RHONJ! They are my favorite housewives, but damn was yesterday a snoozefest or what?
