Weekend Update: Luciano's Party, Sleep & a Mexican Festival

HOW is it Monday again? Even crazier - how is it MAY on Wednesday? Time sure flies when you're... working! Haha and having fun too :) I had a great weekend with Jimmy and my sister - we had the Luciano's party on Friday night! We had a BLAST and did not end up sleeping till almost 5 AM! Saturday was super chill with brunch and me sleeping from 4 PM - 11PM. Sunday, my sister and I woke up super early and worked at our festival until we had to stop it due to the rain. Today is the official opening day for Luciano's Charlotte! So excited! I was there during lunch and will be again during dinner! Wish us luck on our first day!! Tomorrow - I am off to a work trip to Detroit and then Chicago! I am excited because we have some great meetings lined up, and who doesn't want to have a trip in Chicago? Wanted to share my weekend pics & sorry for the overload!!

TGIF everyone! Hope you all had great weeks! Last night, my bestie Jimmy arrived in Charlotte to visit me from Boston. We met during college in Boston and have been best friends ever since! He has a crazy job and always works weekends so it is hard to plan trips to see each other. He was supposed to go to NYC to meet up with me last weekend, but all the craziness and lock down in Boston prevented that so he booked a flight to come see me :)

Apart from our media company that I work for, my dad also owns a restaurant group. We have 14 Mexican restaurants in the surrounding Atlanta suburbs (Frontera Mex-Mex Grill), a fine dining steakhouse in Alpharetta, GA (Pampas Steakhouse), and an Italian restaurant in Duluth, GA. We have been working on opening our Italian concept, Luciano's Ristorante, in Charlotte for over a year and we FINALLY open on Monday!!! I am beyond thrilled to have it here and I cannot wait eat there as much as possible. The one in GA is less than a mile from my house and we always end up picking up dinner or going in for a quick bite. I love Luciano's because it is not a typical restaurant - we have TOP NOTCH food and service and best of all - at a great price! Our Charlotte location is located on 1910 South Blvd (where La Paz used to be) - in front of Sullivan's steakhouse. We had a little private family there last night, it was divine. SO EXCITED!! :)

NYC/Weekend Update!

Happy Monday everyone! I flew back to Charlotte from NYC last night and my flight was so delayed, I didn't get home till 12:30 AM! I am pretty sure hell is a lot like LaGuardia airport - I couldn't wait to get home and pass out! I had the best time in NYC, but there is nothing better than coming back to my bed, my shower and my belongings! I had been there since Tuesday, so 6 days was definitely more than enough!

headed to Westchester to visit my friend Erin who is in med school and she made me a skinny french martini - so good! // Friday - I headed to the dry bar again (oops), had a yummy sushi lunch and shopped on 5th ave a bit - (loving my new J.Crew blazer)

Friday night - we went to Flat Iron Room - it was really fun & had live jazz music, food was not anything to write home about though!

Saturday we headed to brunch at Barbounia (so much fun, unlimited mimosas, champagne or bellinis) // Saturday night, we went out in the lower east side & I was able to see my friend Griselda! yay!

A Sephora Haul & A Prayer

I am safe and sound in NYC ready to call it an early night since I have lots of meetings tomorrow. Frankly, I was up till 3 AM last night watching the CNN coverage of the Boston explosions. I spent 4 years in Boston as a BU undergrad and had the most amazing years of my life thus far. I cannot tell you how many times I walked those blocks of Boylston St as I lived so close to there for my four years. My favorite restaurant in Boston - Abe & Louie's - is located right between the two bombs that went off. I also can tell you that I celebrated many a Marthon Monday in college - it was such a joyous fun day that you spent cheering on the runners with friends. I don't think it will ever be the same. I am still sick to my stomach when I think about it and whoever planned this heinous and horrendous attack should be killed and rot in hell. Keeping my favorite city in my constant prayers

Weekend Update!

Happy monday everyone! I hope you all had great weekends! I was in Raleigh over the weekend and had a great time. I leave for NYC tomorrow for work and am staying for the weekend so I get to spend time with friends. I am so excited to see my friends! :)

I was exhausted from LA so we took it easy on Friday and left early Saturday morning and headed to brunch in Raleigh. We shopped for a while (got some goodies at sephora & haul will be up today!!), and later we all had dinner at a sushi place. 

 

We went out in downtown Raleigh to a place called Zinda and we had so much fun! We were celebrating my cousin Addy's birthday!

Sunday was chill chill chill - we had breakfast near Chapel Hill and then we drove back to Charlotte. I had a nail emergency and headed straight to my favorite nail place for my gel mani! I made dinner for my sister and I - I really wanted a nice healthy home cooked meal - it sucks to be traveling and eating out all the time, it made me feel so gross! And now I have another week of eating out - lord help me!

Los Angeles Re-Cap!

I have finally resurfaced - why does a week with no blogging feel like an eternity? I had an amazing time in LA with my parents and what better way to tell you about it than bombard you with photos? :)

Friday night - I finally did something bout my auburn/accidental ombre/weirdie hair and got mah hair did! I got to meet the lovely Alexa and her husband for like 20 min before they had to leave & we weren't able to get any pics, but I am sure there will be more to come!! :) Taylor did a phenomenal job with my hair and I am back to blonde & planning on staying blonde! Next time I try to differ - please slap me across my face. It took about 4.5 hours, and my hair is short again - but so worth it!

I had a 6AM flight to LA and connected in ATL - I landed around 10 AM LA time and was able to check into my hotel and explore a little before my parents got in! I headed to the Beverly Center and the Grove. The Grove was smaller than I had pictured, but it was still really cute - I had lunch at Ulysses Voyage - the kale salad was delicious! 

 

My outfit (gap shirt dress, leather jacket from spain, and Shoemint Nicole wedges), after my parents landed - my mom and I headed to the Dry Bar to get our hair blown out for the wedding the next day that was at 11 AM in the Redlands (1.5 hours away from LA). I woke up the morning of the wedding with a HORRIBLE cold - I had a runny nose and sneezed every 3 minutes - needless to say - I felt terrible and only took one picture at the wedding. Also - my phone died and we ended up going to dinner that night at Matsuhisa (Nobu's original restaurant) - amazing high quality sushi - everything was delicious! Elizabeth Moss from Mad Men was sitting a few tables down from us! 

Monday, my dad and I had work meetings and then we shopped a little with my mom at the Beverly Center (saw rumer willis!) - I am so obsessed with coffee bean - why is it so much better than starbucks? Then we went to an early dinner at Cut by Wolfgang Puck at the Beverly Willshire. It was such a great dinner! 

More work meetings on Tuesday! We found a great Italian place at the Century City mall called Toscanova - they had the best salads, pizza and capuccinos ever!

I got to see one of my best friends Haley who now lives in LA! We had so much fun catching up and having dinner and margs at Pink Taco

I stayed an extra day to hangout with my parents - we just did some shopping again and then we had dinner at the SLS Hotel at Bazaar - it was just divine! We love Spanish food and this was some of the best spanish food ever! They also had the cutest dessert bar!

It was one of the best trips I have taken - I love being able to spend time with my parents and just having an amazing time with them - I am really blessed to have such great ones! :)

I am EXTREMELY behind with youtube - I have not even had time to film my March favorites - I will try to squeeze that in this weekend because I have been using some amazing products lately that I really want to share! :) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

My Week So Far!

Happy Friday ya'll! It has been a hectic crazy work week for me, and I fly to LA at 6 AM tomorrow! I am going to LA for a wedding and also some work meetings! I can't wait to be in sunny LA! Make sure you are following me on instagram to keep up with me!

Wednesday morning, I was greeted with this lovely flat tire to my care & of course now I have to replace the tire because it is beyond repair - awesome! 

Yesterday, my boss and I had a meeting in Winston-Salem and it took us almost 3.5 hours to get back because there was HAIL and a rain storm the whole time (WTF NORTH CAROLINA!?) - So ready for this weather to change for the better! 

I got home and went to a hair consultation, and guess what? I am going back to blonde tonight and better yet - I get to meet the lovely Alexa!!! I am super excited because we have been trying to set up a blate for a month now so this just worked out perfectly, cannot wait to meet her!! 

Dinner last night - grilled tilapia, sauteed kale & mushrooms :) SO GOOD!

Weekend Re-Cap!

Happy First Day of APRIL everyone! This year is just flying by - doesn't it seem like it was just December? Spring is starting to spring here in good old North Carolina. I have a CRAZY month ahead, so I am probably going to get behind in posting and filming, but I will try my best to keep up! I am off to LA this weekend for a wedding and some work meetings with my dad, then I will be in Raleigh for my cousin's birthday, and then I have my NYC work trip for a week. BUSY BUSY BUSY PAM! 

My friends Erin & Mon were in town over the weekend and we had so much fun just catching up and hanging out together.

Saturday, we had brunch at a newish restaurant called the Peculiar Rabbit - it was so yummy and the mimosas were $3! We went shopping for a while and then Monica and I got our hair done. We went to 5Church for dinner & drinks which was sooo yummy and a great ambiance!

Yesterday, my sister and I went to mass in the morning for Easter & then we all went to brunch. After that was nap time and watching Girls. We made a yummy dinner last night and just drank some wine and talked & laughed for hours and hours. Waking up for work was a struggle, but so worth the amazing weekend I had with my friends :)
