Currently lusting over these items. I wish I could justify all of them but I am having a hard time coming up with reasons. I am itching for spring to get here - anyone else?

Kerastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquid: I have heard nothing but amazing reviews on this serum. It is pricey at over $40, but as soon as I finish my Moroccan argan oil, I will be trying this one out! 

 

J.Crew Crinkle City Mini in Charcoal: One of those items I keep meaning to pick up every time I am at the mall! Perfect skirt for work & to tuck tops into. 

Christian Louboutin Filo Pumps: I have decided my next big purchase is going to be a new pair of CL's. My two pairs that I own are tattered and a little outdated.

The fact that I am posting hauls weekly says something about my shopping habits. I'm sorry but whoever can resist the Ulta 20% off coupon is my hero because I definitely cannot AND plus I needed a new blow dryer EMERGENCY status. I have already used it and & I am going to try to go one month without using any curling irons or flat irons on my hair - just my blowdryer! We will see! Along with daily biotin, deep conditioning treatments, and using mane n' tane - expect mermaid hair by summer. ;-)

Weekend Update!

Hellloooo everyone! Monday again! This weekend went by super fast - as per usual. Friday - Charlotte was overcome by some nasty weather. Before all the northerners make fun of us - it WAS bad. Our roads are NOT built for ice, snow or anything of the sort. It RARELY snows in the south because even though it is technically snowing, the temperature is never freezing enough to make it actually white fluffy snow - instead - what we get is gross gray/black ice. In Friday's case - it was raining/hailing icicles for like 5 hours. Not a pretty picture. I convinced work to close a bit early and sent people safely home. I did NOTHING on Friday - I literally watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone TWICE. yep.

Saturday - I had my hair apt to re-dye my hair & take the freaking red out of it! He added an ashy brown to it to town it down and I will probably add very thin and blended highlights in a couple of months - in the meantime, I like this look :) I also chopped 2 inches off my length! I want to make my hair as healthy and as long as possible!

Saturday night - I went out with my friends - I hadn't been out in Charlotte in SO long!

Yesterday, I woke up with cramps :( But I was good to go after some aleve! I watched the Chamber of Secrets BEST.

I headed out to run some errands & hit up Ulta for their 20% off coupon... oh you know there is a haul coming! :) Tea time at Starbucks first - unsweetened iced black tea - heaven. 

I ended up eating at Whole Foods - soooo yummy! 

I cleaned my bathroom and makeup organizer - throwing out old products and cleaned my brushes as well - feels so good to do that!

Casual Sunday OOTD!

Happy Friday everyone! Charlotte is supposed to get hit with a bad ice storm in the next couple of hours so I am pressed for time today but I wanted to share this recent OOTD video with you all!

My Week so Far!

Happy Thursday everybody! This week has been passing by quite fast & only one more day till the weekend. I am in desperate need of a new shellac mani, pedicure and eyebrow wax so THAT is what I will be doing this evening! 

Monday night, my friend Heather came over to take some professional pictures of my parents - they were so Michelle & Barack :) 

Tuesday, my sister and I went to the Justin Bieber concert! No judgement from anymore please - I do really like him, but my sister is the HUGE fan! And she had never seen him in concert - he actually put on an amazing show - he is such a great singer and dancer AND he was sick! Poor thing! He was great! I could have done without the crazy screaming though! 

I think I mentioned in my previous video that I just want to chop all my hair off and start from scratch. My hair has never been this damaged, dry or just BLAH. I used to have such long and luscious hair and now it is thin and literally has not grown in over a year even though I have trimmed it. My hair stylist told me over the weekend that the ends of my hair are not dry and damaged - they are actually BURNT! AH! He told me that I cannot be using heat tools every day :( I thought by just deep conditioning and using heat protectant would be okay but my hair is dead and I will be chopping like 3-4 inches on Saturday. But I am excited to cut it and start fresh. I have started using mane n'tail and have been taking biotin. He suggested blow drying my hair instead of heat styling it. I am just so bad at blow drying it, I really need to learn! Part of the reason of why my hair may be burnt is that I have been using an old blow dryer and I hadn't even thought of it until my mom asked me yesterday how old mine was. About 7 years old... yea. not OK.

My friend Erin has this and when I used it last time - I loved how my hair turned out! 

I can't wait to get it - in the meantime I will check out some blow dry tutorials!

Weekend Update!

It's that time again ya'll! WEEKEND UPDATE! I have been loving linking up with Sami & Leeann - I have come across some wonderful blog ladies! I had a really great weekend - my parents were in town and my sister Stephanie and her boyfriend came on Saturday. Friday night, one of our Napa friends (who runs Beau Vigne Vineyards) was in town, and I joined him and my parents for dinner at the Palm. Dinner was really good (I had a mixed green salad and ahi tuna) - BUT - the wine was even better. 5 bottles of wine for 4 people - you do the math.

Saturday - I had a treat yo self day. You should have one. For reference:

First blowouts with my mom! (PS - I am changing my hair next week - eek!)

Then shopping... where I came across my new child.. the Tory Burch Dakota in Pink Cloud :) I'm in LOVE! & I love that I can use it crossbody or normal. I have a haul up already - but I will make a separate post for that (I also got some fun makeup!) - I have a severe Tory addiction - HELP!

Saturday night - I took my sister and her bf to my favorite restaurant Cowfish!

We had such a good time at dinner and then ended up just relaxing at home (I can't wait till they are 21!!). Yesterday - we had breakfast at IHOP & then I filmed some videos (wild crazy weekend). We aren't really a football family, but we were cheering on the Atlanta Falcons - oh well! My mom, dad  and I made an amazing dinner. I made salad for everyone and my mom made pico de gallo and chipotle onions. My dad grilled steaks and since I didn't want steak - I got a fresh salmon filet at Whole Foods and he grilled it for me! It turned out SO DELICIOUS. Salmon is my favorite fish and I never cook it at home because I feel like it stinks up the whole house, but I found a new way to cook it - so YAY!

My week so far!

Hasn't this week been so weird? Today is Thursday but it feels like a Friday but also a Wednesday at the same time? Anyways - at least this week has been going by quite nicely. My parents are in town - always great when they are here, I love them! 

On Monday night after work, my sister and I met up with our childhood friend who is now married and has a beautiful baby! She is five years older than me and she was basically like my older sister when I was growing up until her family moved away! So happy she is back from Mexico now and we can see each other more since she only lives an hour away!

we went to Cowfish - one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte - always GREAT food & they have amazing sushi - I forgot to take a picture but I got a spicy salmon roll with brown rice and avocado! 

 

I have developed a serious addiction to Brussels sprouts! OT but I have been calling them brussle sprouts for my whole life - but I guess the correct name is in fat Brussels sprouts! We just saute them in EVOO & a little bit of sea salt - they come out amazing - I think I had like 25 on my own yesterday. We have been sticking with our clean eating for the most part (cheated a little last Sunday with sweet potato fries) - the only thing I haven't given up is wine - not every night obviously but a couple times a week is fine! I always say this every time I am strict with my diet, but you can tell a difference after the first week. Along with hitting the gym 4-5 times a week - it is very effective! Like I said in my New Year resolutions post, I am not going to kill myself over it - I want to go about this in a very healthy way mentally and physically.

Weekend Update + Best Dressed from Golden Globes

HAPPY MONDAY everyone! I have a busy week ahead of me at work, finally getting most of our traveling semi figured out. I am excited to get on the road (aka planes) again - traveling is tiring but it is my favorite part of my job! I had a really great & relaxing weekend! After work on friday, my sister and I met up with our friends Heather & Daniela for some drinks & food at Black Finn! After, we saw Les Mis (my second time) & it was just as amazing as the first time. I wanted to sing along to the entire movie... oopsie!

Saturday was a chill day - my sister and I worked out & then I just ran some errands & went to trader joes for groceries. I was super excited to use my new SALAD CHOPPER! My friend Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom gave me the idea & I am so happy I bought one! I got mine from Amazon & I love it because it comes with its own bowl. I have used it twice already and it works great - I am already salad obsessed this is just better- yummy!

Yesterday, my cousin was driving from Raleigh to Atlanta and she decided to stop and watch the Falcons game with us. We watched it at a sports bar Whiskey River at the Epicenter. They don't usually do mimosas there so we had no option but to buy an entire bottle...

that led to a nap on my part - such a nice addition to my Sunday! I watched the E Red Carpet and the entirety of the Golden Globes - I always love to watch every year! I was rooting for Les Miserables and was so happy when Anne & Hugh won & also for winning best movie (musical or comedy)! I was also rooting for Girls & Lena Dunham - so happy she won but damn she needs to get a better tailor AND some new shoes!

I wasn't "wowed' by anyone in particular, but these were the standouts for me (I guess I have a thing for beige/white dresses)
